The most appealing summer music series in Barcelona kicks off: La Pedrera Jazz

Today, Casa Milà welcomed the summer with the first incredible performance by the Supersax Project  as part of La Pedrera Jazz. The 2019 edition of this series is offering 15 projects featuring the most prominent young jazz talents in Barcelona. The line-up is a combination of the most iconic figures on today's jazz scene, creating an unforgettable soundtrack for the summer. The rooftop of La Pedrera turns into the most exceptional stage in the summer where the audience can enjoy the night, visits to the city and the best live jazz.

The best jazz here in Barcelona 
This year the Catalunya La Pedrera Foundation is presenting a line-up featuring the most prominent young talents on the jazz scene with 30 sessions and 17 bands. The bands include Joan Codina Sextet, Supersax Project, Rita Payés, the duos of Marcel·li Bayer with Toni Saigi and Marco Mezquida with Manel Fortià, the Magalí Datzira quartet and Joan Mar Sauqué and his quintet, who will welcome the summer and transform the rooftop of La Pedrera into an iconic, exciting stage. 
The La Pedrera Jazz series, organised by the Catalunya La Pedrera Foundation, is a celebrated event on summer evenings in the city with more than 7,000 visitors in 2018. Every Friday and Saturday evening starting on 7 June, La Pedrera will open its doors so the public can enjoy a concert and a magical experience.
