Bonaventura Clotet Sala

He graduated in Medicine in 1976 from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and was awarded a research PhD on prognostic markers for connective tissue diseases in 1981. He has conducted research activities in internal medicine and infectious diseases, mainly related to HIV and related diseases.
He is currently:
Head of the Infectious Diseases Department at the Germans Trias i Pujol University Hospital (HUGTiP) in Badalona. Director of the IrsiCaixa AIDS Research Institute. Co-director of the HIVACAT programme for AIDS vaccine research. Associate professor at the UAB and professor of "AIDS and Related Diseases" at the University of Vic (UVic - UCC). Director of the official Master's degree in AIDS Pathogenesis and Treatment.
