Lagoons in the Delta de l’Ebre.

Restoration actions are undertaken in two of the lagoons in the Delta de l’Ebre as part of the European Union LIFE Programme.
At Les Salines de la Tancada, former natural marshes where a fish factory was built in the 1990s were restored, while bringing back the area’s ecological value and building an environmental interpretation centre: MónNatura Delta de l’Ebre.
In L’Alfacada, another lagoon managed by the Foundation, it has recovered the original marsh which had disappeared and improved its quality, connectivity and water management.

Ponds of Gallissà

Located near Bellver de Cerdanya, these are ponds verging on the Segre River. This space had deteriorated due to the presence of a landfill for many years. The Foundation and the Bellver de Cerdanya Town Hall restored this wetland, thereby allowing the space to recover its landscape and biological value.

Sils Pond

Sils Pond is a natural protected space. The Foundation signed a management agreement with the Sils Town Hall, the Emys Foundation and the ACA to recover the natural assets inherent to any wetland. In the mid-19th century, the former pond had been drained to make use of the land as crop fields.
