  3. Success of the family festival at MónNatura Delta

More than 1,500 people attend the family festival MónNatura Delta this weekend. The Kids’ Festival commemorated the seventh anniversary of this Catalunya La Pedrera Foundation centre in a day brimming with activities.

The festival became a showcase of the living landscape, traditions, music and cuisine of the Delta de l’Ebre, thanks also to the participation of different local entities. Every year, these entities and local producers help make the MónNatura Delta festival a success.

Over the course of two days, a series of different workshops were held in which children were able to learn about rice farming or become veritable ornithologists.

Traditional games, storytelling, popular folklore, rides in traditional boats for shallow waters and the bicycle circuit were other activities in the Kids’ Festival in what became a festive family weekend.

The participants were also able to sample the traditional dishes from the region and visit the market where local producers were selling their wares. Food was a prominent theme, with kids’ workshops where the participants learned how to make different dishes, while adults got the chance to sample products.

In short, it was an unforgettable weekend filled with activities and fun for children and adults alike.
