Science Ambassadors

Ambassadors of Science is an initiative promoted by the Fellows community of Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera as part of Science Week 2022. The Fellows community is made up of young people with inquisitiveness, talent, and passion for science and technology who have participated in some of the Foundation's Science Academy programs.

This activity aims to bring the research experiences of these young people closer to secondary education centers in Catalonia and to promote student participation in initiatives that stimulate their scientific and technological vocation. From November 7th to the 25th, the Fellows of the Catalunya La Pedrera Foundation, as Science Ambassadors, will visit these centers to give a talk to 4th-year ESO and/or 1st-year high school students.

Public secondary education centers that have not had students chosen to participate in the Science Academy programs of the Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera have been selected to participate in this initiative, giving preference to those centers considered highly complex by the Department of 'Education.
