Lorenzo Mognon

Lorenzo graduated in Chemistry from the Università degli Studi di Padova in 2008 and completed his Master’s at the same university (2011). For his Master’s, he studied heterogeneous catalysis oxidation reactions. Later, he completed his PhD at the Catalan Institute of Chemical Research (ICIQ) in Tarragona (2015), where he developed, synthesised, characterised and evaluated different homogeneous molecular catalysts for water oxidation. He then moved to Imperial College London as a postdoctoral researcher with a Royal Society-CNR International Fellowship (2016-2018), and worked on the design, synthesis and characterisation of different coordination compounds for a number of applications. Over this period he supervised and introduced different Master’s, PhD and exchange students to the world of research. He is now working as a consultant for R+D+i projects. He has taken part in several editions of the Youth and Science programme.
