Mont-rebei gorge
When crossing the Montsec mountain range, the Noguera Ribagorçana river has created an immense cut of vertical walls, the Mont-rebei gorge, which opens to the south in an amphitheatre of impressive cliffs.
ALL THE SPACES IN THE NETWORKHow can I get there?
By the N-230 road (Lleida - Vall d'Aran), until Pont de Montanyana (Ribagorça). Once you reach the village, take the road that goes to Tremp (C-1311) and cross the bridge over the river Noguera Ribagorçana, some 200 metres further, the path deviates to the right with a turning that says "Reserva del Congost de Mont-rebei."
Other ways to get there: through the Tremp road (C-13), taking the junction that leads to Guàrdia de Noguera and continuing on the LV-9124 region, passing through Sant Esteve de la Sarga and Alsamora until you reach the natural space.
Also from Àger and Corçà (La Noguera), but then you can only access it on foot from the path (GR-1) that crosses the Espai Natura Congost de Mont-rebei.

Tips for visiting
- It is essential to bring enough water for mountain hikes and to wear sunscreen and a hat/cap according to the season.
- This path is not suitable for people with vertigo.
- Some sections of the trail are technical, so a minimum level of physical fitness is required, along with proper footwear and equipment for each season.
- Bringing binoculars and wildlife and flora observation guides is recommended.
- There are no trash bins in natural areas because waste can attract wildlife, and selective collection is challenging. You must take your waste with you. At the entrance, you will find containers to dispose of trash.
- Vehicles are not allowed beyond the parking area.
- Riding mountain bikes (MTB) is not recommended.
- Do not leave the marked trails (it is especially dangerous to do so on the shady trails of Montsec).
- Dogs must be kept on a leash.
- Free camping is not allowed.
- Do not throw stones or objects into the river.
- Do not take plants, minerals, or fossils.
- Lighting fires is strictly prohibited.
- Available services include: toilets, shop, information point, tables and benches, and cleaning services.
- La Masieta is a bioclimatic building that generates electricity from the sun and collects rainwater. The toilets are dry and sustainable, operating without water or chemicals.
- Climbers are reminded that Mont-rebei's cliffs are shared with vultures and other birds, which are in nesting season from December to June. It is recommended to avoid climbing during this period.
