  3. The “New Scenes” series brings two world premieres and top emerging talents to La Pedrera.

This May, the Catalunya La Pedrera Foundation presents the eighth edition of New Scenes at La Pedrera, a series that has garnered a great deal of success showcasing the vitality and diversity of the contemporary stage through theatrical events that blend movement, music, the spoken word, video and objects.

From 2 to 23 May, La Pedrera will host four plays, including two world premieres: Societat Doctor Alonso, a show that brings together Pablo Gisbert and Juan Navarro and the premieres of two pieces by the talented young playwrights Glòria Ribera and Gaia Bautista.

With “New Scenes at La Pedrera”, the Catalunya La Pedrera Foundation supports creation by staging and co-producing works by the most innovative performing artists.

This series is a must-see chance to enjoy contemporary creation. As a live event that uses a direct, person-to-person channel with spectators, it may well be the art form with the strongest capacity to influence and transformative power.
