  3. The eleventh edition of DANSA ARA kicks off at La Pedrera

In November, La Pedrera welcomes contemporary dance. The Foundation presents the eleventh edition of the DANSA ARA series, which shows why dance is garnering such excitement in Catalonia today. This Wednesday, we’ll enjoy the first show of the five chosen.

DANSA ARA  is a well-established dance series which is welcoming the performances of five groups of contemporary dance artists this year, namely Javier Guerrero, Ana Borrosa, Irene García / La Quebrá, Miquel Barcelona, Big Bouncers and Lali Ayguadé. The Auditorium, the Gaudí Hall and other unique spaces in La Pedrera will be the venues for these shows.

The series’ programming also caters to children with a special family session on Sunday the 24th featuring the Big Bouncers.

Dancers and choreographers the likes of Lipi Hernández, Akira Yoshida, Eulàlia Bergadà, Vero Cendoya, Maria Campos and Guy Nader, Pere Faura, Virginia García,  Cesc Gelabert, Sonia Gómez, Roser López Espinosa, Àngels Margarit, Toni Mira, Thomas Noone, Roberto Olivan, Les Impuxibles, Sol Picó and La Veronal, among others, have graced the stages of La Pedrera in the eleven editions of DANSA ARA.
