  3. 43 students from Salt receive School Scholarships from the Foundation

The Catalunya La Pedrera Foundation and the SER.GI Foundation hold an event to award diplomas for the School and University Scholarship programme in Salt.

A total of 43 students from Salt were awarded scholarships in the past academic year.

The event featured the scholarship recipients along with Lluís Farrés, director of the Knowledge and Research Area of the Catalunya La Pedrera Foundation, and a representative of the Education area in Salt.

The goal of the School Scholarship Programme, which was launched in 2002, is to provide scholarships to students at risk of or in situations of social exclusion via benchmark social organisations in an effort to prevent school failure.

The programme seeks to provide economic support and tutoring to students who have the potential for educational success but whose economically precarious situation and other potential shortcomings within their family may thwart their educational/training career, thereby making them youths at risk of social exclusion.

Since 2016, these students have gone on to receive scholarships for their university studies in the University Scholarships programme.
