Harrier

Stork

White stork

(Ciconia ciconia)
In 2001 the White Stork reintroduction project was started, with the aim of recovering the populations of this bird, which disappeared from the Ebro region during the 1930s. At present this species already has a well-established breeding colony.

Horses of the Camargue

Horses of the Camargue

Perfectly adapted to wetland life, Camargue horses, by managing their pasture, regulate reed expansion for the benefit of storks and other birds, but also the vegetation. Its function replaces the modelling force of the river, which is currently neutralised, as its course is highly regulated
