Exotic species removal at Sebes Nature Reserve - 15/10/2022

One of the exotic plants that proliferates the most at Sebes Nature Reserve (Flix, Ribera d’Ebre) is the burdock (Xanthium echinatum). This is a particularly problematic species because it can directly affect Camargue horses that carry out management tasks in the wetlands, as it has very sticky seeds, popularly known as "catxurros", which can stick to their mane and tail.
