Science km0 - FESTA DE LA CIÈNCIA 2020

Scientific research has never been more present in our lives than during the pandemic. We heard about science at home, on TV, in the streets, in the supermarket and especially in high school. However, there was so much talk about the coronavirus that we forgot about other research being undertaken around the world on an infinite number of other super interesting topics... and that we may not have even heard of before!

Science km0 was a project driven by young Catalans who are dedicated to scientific research in different places around the world. Since the pandemic had kept them isolated but at the same time more connected than ever thanks to new technologies, they decided to publicize their experience and bring it to the classrooms of Catalonia so that students and teachers could enjoy it without moving from their classroom.

A journey on horseback between Europe and the United States, passing through neuroscience, cell biology or gravitational physics laboratories to companies dedicated to the search for new drugs, software design or the implementation of renewable energies. All at the hands of young Catalans who were eager to virtually enter classrooms to tell students their story!
