Enllaçats amb l’ICIQ

Enllaçats amb l'ICIQ' was the first activity organized by the Fellows committee and consisted in a meeting of participants and former participants of programs of the Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera who at some point in their academic or professional career have stayed or have been linked with the Catalan Institute of Chemical Research (ICIQ) in Tarragona.

After a presentation of the meeting by Dra. Laia Pellejà, head of science outreach of the ICIQ, and Carla Conejo, head of the science programs of the Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera, the day continued with a conference from Dra. Mònica PérezTemprano, renowned principal researcher at the ICIQ who explained her personal journey through chemistry, and Dr. Fernando Gomollón-Bel, head of communication and press for the European Graphene Flagship research project.

After that, five students linked to the ICIQ presented their research projects, followed by a conference by Dr. Lorena Tomàs, ICIQ project manager, who brought us closer to her experience and invited us to imagine a 'Future without barriers' in the research sector. Finally, Maria Torres, fellow of the Fundació, and her music group closed the event with a chamber music concert.
