Ciència s’escriu en femení

Do you know what the scissor effect is? You've probably heard of the glass ceiling... but do you know what a cement ceiling is? The International Day of Girls and Women in Science was celebrated on February 11th and Working Women's Day was celebrated on March 8th. Taking advantage of both dates, Fellows Committee organized virtual conferences "Ciència s'escriu en femení" (science written in feminin).

We counted on the participation of women who develop fundamental roles in the field of science: from the promotion of scientific vocations in schools, to the management of companies and research centers, passing through scientific communication and research in several fields. The sessions consisted of two parts: we started with a talk to learn about the experiences of the speakers and continued with a debate, where the participants were divided into rooms to generate spaces for debate with each of the speakers, ask questions, and share reflections and opinions on the central theme of the event.
